Volunteering with COMAC

Many asylum seekers in Sheffield face difficulties affording public transport. The COMAC Bike Project encourages people to donate their old bikes, so they can be repaired and given to asylum seekers who are referred to the organisation through ASSIST Sheffield.

The project has helped many people, including asylum seekers and refugees, who have difficulties affording public transport. COMAC is also somewhere where asylum seekers can volunteer, feel useful and make friends.

Demand always outstrips supply so COMAC need volunteer mechanics to help to build up their bank of bikes. COMAC can be found at Ash Tree Yard, 62-68 Thirlwell Road, Sheffield S8 9TF and are looking for volunteers to help out on Monday evenings between 5:30pm and 8:00pm.

If you would like to volunteer your time or support the project in any way, please contact Rocky on 07981 452174 or email: comacworkshop@gmail.com
